Arnon Geva is the founding partner and CEO of Kerem Montefiore. He grew up in Yemin Moshe, Jerusalem. He has been in the wine business for over twenty years. He was a founder partner of Domaine du Castel and fourteen years later, he became International Business Director for both Carmel Winery and Yatir Winery. He was the founding Chairman of the Judean Wine Route, developing the pioneering wine route in Israel and advancing the wine region of the Judean Hills & Judean Foothills. He is one of the most respected figures in the Israeli wine world.
David Montefiore is a founding partner, but is in a non-executive role. He worked both as a wines & spirits manager and sommelier for leading restaurants for many years, such as Tapeo, Yaffo Tel Aviv and Toto. He has had overseas experience working for both Rocland Winery, Barossa Valley in Australia and Capcanes Winery, Montsant in Spain. He is currently Wine Culture Manager for Tabor Winery and Wine Department Manager for IBBLS. He studied wine at the WSET in London.
Rachel Montefiore is a founding partner and VP Marketing & Sales. She has had broad experience in the wine trade having worked in retail, on premise and in marketing and sales. She has worked at leading winestores, Derech Ha’yayin & Vino Cigar, been a sommelier in top restaurants, Pushkin and the Blue Rooster, and worked for Bravdo Winery, marketing their wines, alongside wines from Austria and Sicily. She is a graduate of the Ramat Gan College ‘Wine Academy’.
Adam Montefiore is the Honorary Chairman of the winery. He is a wine trade veteran who has advanced Israeli wine for over thirty years. In the past he has worked for the Golan Heights Winery, Carmel Winery and Yatir Winery. He is the wine writer for the Jerusalem Post and wrote or contributed to books such as the Wine Route of Israel, Shvill Ha’Yayin, Wines of Israel, The Book of New Israeli Food, Hugh Johnson’s Pocket Wine Book, Oz Clarke’s Wine A to Z and Jancis Robinson’s Oxford Companion To Wine. He is the proud father of David and Rachel Montefiore.
Canadian Sam Soroka is the Winemaking Consultant. He graduated in Food Science at McGill University in Montreal, and studied oenology at Adelaide University in Australia. Soroka is one of the most experienced winemakers in Israel having made wine in Australia, California, Canada, France and Israel. His wines have won international awards at the very highest level.
